Hinners Software Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 23, 2026
This policy explains what Hinners Software collects in its Android apps (PropYield, Daylog Health and HomeMaintainer), why, and the choices you have.
Who we are
The apps are published by Hinners IT & Software Consulting, doing business as Hinners Software ("we", "us"), based in Cincinnati, Ohio, USA. We are responsible for the information described here.
This policy covers these apps on Google Play:
| App | What it does |
|---|---|
| PropYield | Real-estate investment calculator for rental and fix-and-flip deals |
| Daylog Health | Meal, carbohydrate and health-metric tracking, with AI meal-photo analysis |
| HomeMaintainer | Home maintenance tracking with AI-personalized schedules and guidance |
The shared sections apply to every app. Each app also has its own section describing what it collects. If an app section and a shared section differ, the app section applies to that app.
Our apps are not medical, financial, legal or professional services. Daylog Health is not a medical device and does not diagnose or treat any condition.
Information we collect in all apps
We collect only what each app needs to work. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for third-party advertising.
- Account information. If you sign in (for example with Google Sign-In), we receive your name, email address and an account identifier.
- Content you enter. Information you type or save in an app, described in each app's section below.
- Purchase information. If you subscribe, Google Play processes the payment. We receive the subscription status, product and purchase token so we can unlock paid features. We never receive your card or bank details.
- App diagnostics. Crash reports and basic performance data, such as device model, Android version and app version, so we can fix problems.
- Usage analytics. Which screens and features are used, linked to a random app-instance identifier, so we can improve the apps.
- Support messages. If you email us, we keep your message and email address to answer you.
Third-party services
We use these service providers to run the apps. They process data on our behalf under their own privacy terms.
| Provider | Used for | Privacy policy |
|---|---|---|
| Google Firebase (Authentication, Firestore, Cloud Functions, Analytics, Crashlytics, Remote Config, App Check) | Sign-in, cloud storage and sync, server functions, analytics, crash reports, app configuration, abuse prevention | Firebase privacy |
| Google Play Billing | Subscriptions and purchases | Google privacy policy |
| Google Gemini API | AI features: photo analysis and AI responses in Daylog Health and HomeMaintainer | Gemini API terms |
When you use an AI feature, the photo or text you submit is sent to the Gemini API to produce a result. We use paid API service, under which Google states it does not use submitted content to train its models.
PropYield
PropYield collects the property and financing figures you enter so it can calculate and save your deal analyses.
| Data | Examples | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Property and deal inputs | Purchase price, rent, rehab costs, loan terms, taxes, insurance, vacancy and expense estimates, property nicknames or addresses you type | To run calculations and save analyses |
| Saved analyses | Results and comparisons you save | So you can reopen and compare deals |
| Subscription status | Plus or Pro plan, trial status | To unlock paid features |
These figures describe properties, not your personal finances, and we do not connect them to any bank or credit account. PropYield gives estimates only, not investment advice.
Daylog Health
Daylog Health collects meal, nutrition and health information you choose to log or connect, so it can track your intake and vitals and calculate daily targets.
| Data | Examples | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Profile | Height, weight, age, biological sex, unit preference | To calculate calorie and macro targets |
| Meals and nutrition | Foods, drinks, carbs, calories, macros, water intake | To track daily intake and history |
| Meal photos | Photos you take or choose for AI analysis | Sent to the Gemini API to estimate foods and carbs; not kept after analysis unless you save the meal |
| Vitals | Blood glucose, blood pressure, oxygen saturation, body temperature, weight | To show readings, trends and summaries |
| Bluetooth device readings | Readings from compatible glucose meters, blood pressure cuffs, oximeters, thermometers and scales you pair | To import readings without typing them |
Health Connect
With your permission, Daylog Health reads these data types from Android Health Connect: blood glucose, weight and height. It reads them only to display them in the app and use them in your summaries and targets. You can grant or remove access at any time in Health Connect settings.
We do not sell Health Connect data or use it for advertising. We do not transfer it to third parties except as needed to provide the app's features, to comply with law, or as part of a merger or sale with your notice. People do not read your health data, except with your consent, for security, or as required by law. Our use of Health Connect data follows the Health Connect Permissions policy, including its Limited Use requirements.
Bluetooth and location
Pairing a Bluetooth health device needs Android's nearby-devices permission. On some Android versions this is shown as a location permission. We do not collect or store your location.
Health data is stored on your device and, if you sign in, in your cloud account so it syncs across devices. Daylog Health is for general tracking only and is not a substitute for advice from a medical professional.
HomeMaintainer
HomeMaintainer collects details about your home and appliances so it can build maintenance schedules and answer your questions.
| Data | Examples | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Home details | Property type, age, size, systems, location you enter (such as city or ZIP code) | To personalize maintenance schedules |
| Appliance details | Brand, model, serial number, install date, warranty | To track appliances and suggest upkeep |
| Tasks and history | Tasks, due dates, completion notes | To remind you and track progress |
| Photos | Appliance labels and photos of problems you submit | Sent to the Gemini API to read labels or suggest likely causes |
| AI chat | Questions you ask and the answers | Sent to the Gemini API to generate replies |
Free accounts get a limited number of AI requests each month, and Pro accounts get unlimited use. We count requests to enforce these limits.
Get Quotes
The Get Quotes feature opens Angi's website or app. We do not send your personal or home details to Angi. Anything you enter there is covered by Angi's own privacy policy.
AI suggestions are general guidance only. For gas, electrical, structural or safety problems, contact a licensed professional.
How we use, share and protect information
We use your information only to provide the apps' features, keep your account and data in sync, process subscriptions, fix problems, prevent abuse and respond to you.
We share information only:
- With the service providers listed above, to run the apps
- When you choose to open a third-party service, such as Angi
- When required by law, or to protect the rights and safety of users or others
- As part of a merger, acquisition or sale of assets, with notice to you
Security. Data is encrypted in transit using HTTPS/TLS. Cloud data is stored with Google Firebase, which encrypts it at rest. Access to your cloud data is limited to your signed-in account.
Retention. We keep your data while your account is active. When you delete your account, we delete its cloud data within 30 days, except where we must keep limited records by law (for example purchase records). Crash and analytics data is kept in aggregated or pseudonymous form for up to 14 months.
Where data is processed. Our providers may process data in the United States and other countries.
Your choices and rights
- Permissions. You can turn off camera, photo, Bluetooth and Health Connect access in Android settings. Features that need them will stop working.
- Access and correction. You can view and edit your information in each app, or email us for a copy.
- Subscriptions. Manage or cancel in the Google Play Store under Payments & subscriptions.
Deleting your account and data
You can delete your account and its data in two ways:
- In the app: Settings → Account → Delete account.
- By email: send a request from your account email to support@hinnerssoftwareconsulting.com and name the app. We will confirm within 7 days.
Deleting removes your account, saved content, health and home records, and AI request history from our cloud storage within 30 days. Data stored only on your device is removed when you uninstall the app. Uninstalling does not cancel a subscription.
Children
Our apps are not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. We will change the date at the top and, for significant changes, notify you in the app.
